During my career, I have seen quite a few campaigns where the bulk of the budget was spent on search terms that are not relevant to the business.
Regularly going over the search terms report and using negative keywords will prevent wasting money.
In Google Ads, the campaign can be divided into ad groups to improve the quality score of the keywords in the campaign.
When you do not make such a division and work with few groups or alternatively with one ad group, the quality score will be low and will mean that our ads will appear less and the cost per click will be significantly higher.
Keyword matches allow us to determine what type of searches our ads will appear on.
Incorrect use of a broad match will result in us appearing in searches that are not relevant to us, while on the other hand using only exact matches will result in.
That we appear too little and do not use the budget properly to generate more leads from the campaign.
One of the goals of the campaign is to be profitable, meaning that the campaign will bring in more money for the business than it spends on it, when part of our budget is spent on keywords that do not generate conversions or on keywords whose conversion cost is high.
The profitability of the campaign is affected.
Lack of utilization of budget in the campaign is a serious problem because it basically means that the campaign does not generate enough clicks and if there are not enough clicks on our ads and visits to the website it means that the campaign will also generate no inquiries or few inquiries.
Conversion tracking means that we can see in the Google Ads system which keywords and ads generated leads for us.
A correct and complete definition of conversion tracking will allow us to produce a more profitable campaign and avoid wasting money on keywords that don’t work well.
